AWARDS FOR THE SCHOOL

Inclusion Mark

Branksome Heath is very proud to have gained the Poole Inclusion Mark. We are one of the first schools in Poole to achieve this award.

In order to gain the award the school had to show inclusive practises in pupil progress, pupils' attitudes, values and personal development, leadership and management, staffing, the learning environment, teaching and learning, resources and ICT, communication with parents and carers, governors, external partners, the Local Authority and the community.

The award reflects the hard work by the pupils, parents, staff and all the community involved with the school.

Sports Mark 2007

We were delighted to receive the Sports' Mark Award as recognition for the efforts that the school puts into promoting the active lifestyles and participation in sport.

Healthy Schools

Thanks to the efforts of the whole school community, last Easter 2007, BHMS was amongst the first group of schools to be awarded the new National Healthy Schools status after meeting 44 criteria. As recognition for the commitment to Healthy Schools shown by the Branksome community, we have been asked by the Borough of Poole to help launch the new Enbironment Award for Schools.

Financial Management Standard in Schools

In January 2008 Branksome Heath successfully passed the accreditation and meets the overall requirements of the Financial Management Standard in Schools.
