Everything we do will be to improve our Teaching and Learning.
Behaviour
To improve communication between Pupil Services and Main School. Help parents to have clearer view of what is acceptable/unacceptable behaviour. Host a forum for parents to discuss our Behaviour Policy. Inform all stakeholders better as to decisions taken following unacceptable behaviour. Develop 'Heartmath' across the school. Lunchtime Supervisors to get more support and training for games. Introduce Award - Outstanding Progress.
Inclusion
To inform all stakeholders about decisions referring to unacceptable behaviour. Redesign Pupil Services play area and quiet room. Parent forum on Behaviour Policy. Develop more personalised curriculum Review method to record 'incidents'.
School and Community
Increase community use of facilities. Create budgets to include improvement of site: woodland, fences, decoration, repairs .... Start replacement of Heating System. Complete the replacement of windows. Start replacement of perimeter wall with fencing. Develop and build upon links with other communities within and outside Britain. Work with LA on plans for the change in age of transfer. Re-design Pupil Services quiet room and play area. Introduce budget for 'woodland project'.
Work - Life Balance
Increase 'socials': Care Bear/Secret Santa etc Improve staff room - furniture, lighting, tea/coffee facilities. Review staffing in assembly. Planning time for cross curricular projects.
Year team reward time.
Teaching and Learning
Move towards more cross curricular plans each term. Children develop own aspects of learning as part of all schemes of work. Staff expertise in English and Maths developed further. Planning inspires learning and especially boys writing. Planning stretches most able. Maths, Science and Reading continue to inspire children to improve learning. Role models used to raise aspirations, particularly for boys.
Role of Governors
Governors visit school and meet staff, get into class and go on learning walks. Review all Policies as required and develop own expertise through Development Plan. One Governors meeting a term devoted more to training and less to 'business'.
