Following the government announcement last night, the advice has now changed.
The most significant change is that whole households will now need to self-isolate for 14 days if a single member of the household display symptoms of a persistent cough or a high temperature. Schools however are expected to remain open, but we will send home any children displaying symptoms, or who have siblings who are self-isolating.
Some members of staff are within the most vulnerable categories, so will be remaining at home self-isolating. We are hoping we can split their class of children into other classes. However, there is a strong likelihood as the week continues, we may have to partially close. We will keep you updated on this.
Lastly, please think carefully before sending your child in to school and be considerate of others. We are doing all we can to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community. We will send communication later today, regarding home learning packs and will update our websites accordingly.
